LEAD WITH US

Join our Board and Lead Austin’s Community-Owned Food Co-op

Are you passionate about food justice, cooperative economics, and building power through community ownership? The Austin Community Food Co-op is seeking future Board Members to help guide our strategic growth and bring our shared vision to life.

We are especially looking for individuals with the following experience or qualities:

  • Senior-level corporate management experience.

  • Background in any of the following areas: Fundraising, Finance, Business Law , Branding/Marketing

  • Ability  to serve as an active advocate and ambassador for the Co-op

  • Dependable, honest, engaged and effective communicator .

  • Possess the ability to leverage networks that would support Austin Community Food Co-op’s strategic goals. 

  • Bring a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion experience and mindset to the organization.

Board Member Requirements: 

  • Serve a 2-year board term. Renewable for up to three terms.  

  • Attend and actively participate in all required quarterly board meetings. 

  • Support the organization with an annual personal cash gift.

  • Support the organization's annual Paint the Town Red Fundraiser with a set give/get amount.

  • Serve on at least one Board Circle to drive the growth of the organization. 

  • Serve as an ambassador for Red Clay Dance Company by communicating and promoting the company’s mission and programs to the community and your networks.
